Abstract

An increase in the number of packages and express mails generated based on electronic trade, as well as user requests for the delivery of those mails, have additionally made the delivery vehicle parking problems more complex in urban areas. Some studies point to the fact that the delivery vehicle spends 15% to 74% of the total transportation time on parking [1]. In the paper, a proposal is made for solving the problem of the illegal parking of delivery vehicles using reserved parking spots and a methodology was proposed for determining the optimal location for delivery vehicle stopping and parking.
