Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to investigate empirically and identify barriers to the development of humane city of Novi Sad. In total, 16 barriers of humane city development divided into 4 barrier categories are explored. The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is applied to prioritize the selected barriers. The obtained results show that high cost of IT infrastructure, lack of cooperation between institutions and growing population problems are the most important barriers for humane city of Novi Sad development.
