Factor Structure of the Driving Anger Scale Among Serbian Drivers

Abstract

Driving anger is situational personality trait that may predispose individuals to risky and aggressive driving behaviour on the roads. In this paper we examined factor structure of the original DAS in Serbian driving conditions. The study was cross-sectional in design, and carried out in the sample consisted of 380 regular drivers. We conducted CFAs of the data on the DAS, comparing five competing models. The results shown that the five-factor and bifactor solutions offered the best fit to the data relative to the other models. However, in absolute terms, neither of these models offered an acceptable representation of the data. The results were discussed and compared with findings of the previous research.
